Vision Sunday Message

Day 3: The Enemy's Real Target
Devotional
The enemy’s strategy is more subtle than you think. He doesn't primarily attack your talents, abilities, or character. He goes after your vision. Why? He knows that without vision, all your strengths become irrelevant. You can be incredibly gifted, but if you lose sight of God's purpose for your life, those gifts won't fulfill their intended impact. The enemy's favorite weapon is busyness. He whispers You're too busy for church, too busy for God, too busy to read your Bible. He fills your schedule with urgent but ultimately meaningless activities. He knows that a busy person without vision is no threat to his kingdom. This is why protecting your vision requires intentional choices. You must guard your time with God. Prioritize His Word and resist the cultural pressure to fill every moment with activity. Having sight without vision is worse than being blind. At least blind people know they need help. When you can see but lack divine vision, you might think you're fine when you’re lost. Recognize the enemy's tactics and choose to protect what matters most—your relationship with God and the vision He's given you.
Bible Verse
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” –Luke 4:18
Reflection Question
What "busy" activities in your life might be distracting you from God's vision? How can you create more space for what truly matters?
Quote
“The enemy doesn't go after your strength. He goes after your vision.”
Prayer
Lord, help me recognize the enemy's attempts to steal my vision through busyness and distraction. Give me wisdom to prioritize what matters most to You. In Jesus’s name, amen.
