5-Day Devotional - Day Four

Better: Part Seven Vision Sunday Message Pastor Paul Stieb Day 4: The Miracle of Giving Devotional God's economy operates differently than the world's system. While the world teaches us to accumulate and hoard, God's kingdom operates on the principle of generous giving. This isn't just about money; it includes blessing others, serving, caring, helping, encouraging, and forgiving. Giving positions you to receive more than you currently have. Consider the disciples with the loaves and fishes. They didn't experience the miracle of multiplication until they gave away what they had. The miracle wasn't in their possession of the food. It was in their willingness to release it. When you give faithfully, you create space for God to work supernaturally in your life. This principle challenges our natural instincts. We want to hold tight to what we have, fearing there won't be enough. God promises that those who give generously will be blessed abundantly. Faithful giving doesn't just produce financial returns; it produces fruitful living in every area. When you operate by God's principles of generosity, you align yourself with His heart and open the door for His provision. Look for opportunities to give—whether it's time, resources, encouragement, or forgiveness. Trust that God will multiply what you release. Bible Verse “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” –Proverbs 11:25 Reflection Question What is God asking you to give that you've been hesitant to release? Quote “The disciples did not experience the miracle of multiplication until they gave away the fish and the bread.” Prayer Father, help me trust Your economy of giving and receiving. Show me opportunities to bless others and give me a generous heart like Yours. In Jesus’s name, amen.
